The Browning PRM12 Primal Series Gun Safe is made of 12 gauge steel and has a 3/16" solid steel plate in the door, as well as 7 - 1" bolts, 4 of which are active. This protects against prying attacks with a pry bar. A S&G UL approved mechanical lock is included as standard. Underwriters Laboratory has even validated this gun safe with a UL RSC (Residential Security Container) burglar rating. Most gun safes under $1,000 do not have any of these characteristics.
Browning's PRM12 Primal Series Gun Safe has a 30-minute fire rating and has been tested at temperatures as high as 1400 degrees Fahrenheit on the outside. This means that in the event of a fire or burglary, your critical documentation, rifles, handguns, and even certain valuables will be safe. This gun safe's outer dimensions are 58.00" high by 21.00" wide by 17.00" deep, plus 2" for the handle, lock, and hinges. If possible, secure this safe to a sturdy surface using pre-drilled anchor holes.
The Browning PRM12 Primal Series Gun Safe has a textured black finish on the outside for a lifetime of use. The door has a Primal Silk-Screened Logo and Scroll. A 3-spoke handle is typical for easy opening and shutting of the door. Inside, there is a typical black carpeted all gun interior for convenient organizing.
